I love exploring colour, an essential aspect of my paintings. I also enjoy playing with composition, line and texture using an instinctive approach and a pleasure in decorative motifs. My work is led by an appreciation of the natural world. Recently I have been inspired by Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass and Edward Lear's poem The Owl and the Pussycat.
