Indulging in my love of textiles I started off making earrings from all types of ribbon, fabric, braid and beads. Moving on to silversmithing for a greater range of expression I found the process of manipulating silver and copper to form beautiful peices of hand crafted jewellery a joy as well as challenging. I subscribe to the 'happy-accident' method of creation. Which means each piece is a one-off, each pair of earrings unique. Each dish or bowl individual. Over lockdown I started to reintroduce myself to quilt making, returning to my love of fabric, texture, weave and colour.
