Penny Seume is a textile designer using imagery from the urban landscape as inspiration for atmosphere, texture and colour. Penny combines her paintings and collages with photography and contemporary digital print, to create fabrics, scarves and home accessories. Living and working in Bristol, Penny’s unique designs reference the original location in a subtle way and capture some of the inherent mood and magic.
After completing an MA Design in Textiles at Bath Spa University, Penny setup her own Textile business and it is her third year participating in the North Bristol Arts Trail.
Penny received a Distinction award at the Jan 2013 Society of Designer Craftsmen annual exhibition at the Mall Galleries, Piccadilly for her New York inspired collection and is a member of the Devon Guild in recognition of the high standard of design and craft demonstrated in her practice.
Penny sells her work locally and globally and is stocked by Anthropologie, ABC Home New York, Seed at Black Swan Arts, Frome and selected galleries across the UK.
